It is the role of the responsible person to ensure that their premises are equipped with escape signage to enable the occupants to find their way out in an emergency situation. In worst case scenarios the occupants will have to find their way out of poorly lit smoke filled rooms / escape routes which makes escape signage an essential part of any building structure. All new health & safety signs must show an appropriate symbol and, if necessary, supporting text. All hazards must be highlighted with a safety sign if they cannot be controlled by other means. The location of all escape routes and fire fighting equipment must be clearly identified. Employers have to provide employees with training in the understanding of safety signs.
 | Signs should indicate clearly the direction to the nearest final exit point of the building. They should be a standardised format taking into account viewing distances, all signs should be of a recognised size. |
One of the many services that A-vert can carry out is Emergency Escape Signage installation, design and supply. | |
 | Emergency escape signage comes in a variety of formats, from glow in the dark (photoluminescent)signs to recessed backlit signs.
