A-vert Fire offers Fire Safety Training in the following areas:




Fire safety awareness (1 Hour)

This course is suitable for staff who require a basic level of fire safety knowledge and evacuation procedures in their workplace. The course also introduces the types and purposes of fire extinguishers.


Fire warden/marshal training (4 Hour Course)

This course is aimed at individuals who have a responsibility in the event of fire to assist with evacuation and organisation with fire procedure's.


Introduction into the Regulatory Reform Order 2006 (8 Hours)

This course is aimed at managers and owners who wish to carry out their own fire risk assessments on the company's premises. It gives them an insight into the regulatory reform order (October 2006) and identifies the basic task you need to carry out on a fire risk assessment which should be carried out annually.


Fire safety in Hotels (4 Hours)

This course is as the name suggests, specifically aimed at fire safety within the hotel industry. It gives an awareness to staff and hotel managers on fire risks and identifying fire hazards.


Fire safety in Nursing homes (4 Hours)

This course outlines fire safety in nursing homes and the difficulties that arise with evacuation and emergency planning. It highlights fire safety aimed at buildings which house occupants which are in need of assistance with evacuation.


Introduction into fire alarms (4 Hours)

This course is designed to allow managers and appointed staff the understanding and operation of their fire alarm system and management, it goes into detail of types of devices and components that go into making a fire alarm system. It explains the necessity for weekly and periodic testing and the avoidance of false alarms. The course also gives an insight into BS5839. (Fire alarm code of practice)


Introduction into Escape Signage and Emergency Lighting (4 Hours)

This course is designed to allow managers and appointed staff the understanding and operation of their emergency lighting system, it goes into detail of types of luminaires and systems that make up emergency lighting systems. it highlights the requirement for escape signage and the design processes. It also explains the necessity for weekly and periodic testing and maintenance and how to identify faults on the sytem. The course also gives an insight into BS5266. (Emergency Lighting code of practice)
